Verizon – The Team That Wouldn’t Be Here
Super Bowl Campaign · 3× Cannes Lions · 4× Clio Awards · One Show Winner
Verizon’s network powers first responders across the U.S., but instead of telling that story through product specs, we told it through people.
The Team That Wouldn’t Be Here featured 11 NFL players and 1 NFL coach who survived near-death incidents thanks to first responders. Working with each NFL team, we identified the players, researched their stories, and then tracked down the EMTs, firefighters, police officers, and medics who saved them.
We produced a 12-part short film series that ran in the weeks leading up to the Super Bowl, with each 5-minute episode revealing a personal story of tragedy, rescue, and survival. The series culminated in a national Super Bowl spot—The Coach That Wouldn’t Be Here—followed by a 30-minute documentary that aired in primetime on CBS the night after the game.
